Enhancing Public Safety through improved technology and equipment.

The City of Greeley and Weld County, as certified disparate jurisdictions, are submitting a joint application for the 2024 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) local solicitation. Each agency has goals regarding the use of the funding provided.
The main goal of the Greeley Police Department is to improve efficiency and acquire the equipment our officers need to be successful in their duties. This includes a cargo trailer, laptops, e-bikes, a software license and equipment for our Swat unit.
The main goal of the Weld County Sheriff’s Office is to ensure the support and safety of law enforcement efforts in crime and violence prevention and reduction. This includes a metal detector to provide and maintain a higher level of security at the jail to detect weapons or other contraband.
These goals will enhance the City of Greeley and Weld County law enforcement agencies and work to protect public safety.
