Enhance Forensic Evidence Procedures

Coweta County will use JAG funds to enhance the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office’s (CCSO) forensic electronic data collection processes. Specifically, the CCSO will use JAG funds to:
1.    Upgrade two different software applications utilized in obtaining digital evidence and related equipment;
2.    Purchase on-demand training on digital evidence collection for the Criminal Investigation Division (CID);
3.    Purchase equipment to conduct ballistics testing to submit results to the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN); and
4.    Purchase lights to aid investigators responding to night-time calls.
