The Osceola County Corrections Department (OCCD) is seeking continued staff training opportunities. Keeping staff up to date on the latest trends, best practices, recent legal findings, and promoting staff development is key as the field of Corrections continues to evolve. To provide staff with diverse training opportunities that address teambuilding, conflict resolution, recent legal changes affecting the field of corrections, and to stay up to date on best Correctional practices.
We must equip our deputies with the tools and equipment needed to most effectively handle aggressive, violent, and resisting suspects, safely. We must find solutions that can produce this outcome from longer distances than the traditional less-lethal options mentioned earlier, as this will increase overall safety. To respond to critical incidents with the highest level of technology available to law enforcement, to reduce and prevent significant injuries and loss of life to the residents and visitors of Osceola County and the deputies of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
