City and County of Albany FY2024 JAG Program

The grantee plans to use funding for officer operational overtime expenses to further the School Dismissal Program & Violent Crime Suppression Program, seat belt cutter/window punch devices to enhance law enforcement response capabilities, and grant administration expenses related to the 2024 JAG program. Expected outcomes of the increased officer operational overtime expenses to further the School Dismissal Program include a reduction in occurrences of crime and increased safety for students and residents in the City of Albany. Expected outcomes of the increase officer operational overtimes expense to further the Violent Crime Suppression Program include reducing violent crime, enhancing department response to violent crime, and providing the community with an improved quality of life in the City of Albany. Expected outcomes of the purchase of equipment is enhanced law enforcement and emergency response capabilities.
