Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $68,694)
The Cities of Biloxi, Gulfport, and Harrison County Mississippi are certified as disparate agencies by the BJA Director, based in part on input from the state's Attorney General. Therefore, this is a joint application and the program narrative will address problems from three distinctly different jurisdictions.
Although each participating agency has very specific needs and will use the 2024 JAG funding to address those needs, the overall goal of this project is to provide each agency with resources needed to maintain the staffing level and resources necessary to adequately respond to calls for service and to proactively work with citizens and other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in order to provide a safe secure community where residents can live without fear of crime.
