Asheville Police Department and Buncombe County Sheriff's office - 2024 JAG Grant

The City of Asheville, Asheville Police Department (APD) proposes to use JAG funds to help outfit a Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC). The purpose of the RTIC is to enhance the situational awareness of patrol officers by providing immediate assistance in real-time criminal activity and investigative support for Detectives investigating past crimes. The success of the Real Time Crime Center will improve officer and citizen safety. 

The subrecipient, the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) requests grant funds to purchase additional AED equipment packages for sworn personnel. Funds awarded to this application will ensure sworn personnel are prepared to provide life-saving CPR for injured or health-compromised individuals in all manner of emergency settings.
