This grant application is a joint application between the City of Erie and Millcreek Township Police Departments in Erie County, Pennsylvania. The jurisdictions are eligible for a combined amount of $81,889 under the information provided by the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) for FY24. Funds will be used to purchase equipment vital to the efficient and effective operations of the Erie Police Department (EPD) and the Millcreek Police Department (MPD) in reducing violent crime and fatalities. This equipment includes: a Tactical Video Phone (manufactured by 836 Technologies) for MPD and cruiser computers, modems, and radio batteries for EPD as well as three radar speed signs.
