Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $133,615)

The Lansing Police Department is the recipient of this grant and the Ingham County Sheriff is the subrecipient. The Lansing Police Department intends to utilize the funds to purchase handgun optics for all sworn department members, and promote retention through continued education and wellness. The Ingham County Sheriff Department will be purchasing police equipment, specifically a new Public Address (PA) system for all of their patrol vehicles.
