City of North Charleston FY24 Justice Assistance Grant

The disparate jurisdictions of the City of Charleston, City of north Charleston and Charleston County have all agreed to keep their own funds separate. Each jurisdiction has determined what they will focus on. Charleston County will utilize its $18,691 for taser replacement, repairs, batteries and cartridges, funds towards salary and fringe for a general prosecutor. North Charleston will utilize its $92,404 for: Training for JAG Administrators; FLIR; Forensic tower; Benchtop Cyanosafe; GD Gunsmith; and Canines. City of Charleston will utilize its $45,910 for Mass Casualty Medical Response kits; Forced Entry Tool, Single-purpose Explosive Detection K9; NASRO training- SRO Supervisors and management and NASRO national School Safety Conference.
