Lubbock County Joint Enforcement Initiative

The Lubbock County Joint Initiative, comprised of the Lubbock Police Department, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office and Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office propose to continue the modernization of their departments through new software and equipment. The LPD proposes the purchase of rifle resistant ballistic shields. With this purchase, the shields will be distributed to patrol officers to utilize in active attack event. The citizens of Lubbock County are expected to benefit from the modernization of these departments as sub recipients (LSO, LCDA) intend to upgrade their hardware and software as well to increase their response to active attack events with ALERRT training and equipment.
