The City of Omaha and Douglas County will use JAG funds to reduce violent crime, limit justice system contact, and enhance the skills of justice system personnel.
Douglas County will implement technology and improvements in crime analysis, efficiencies and resources for courts and corrections, mental health co-responder program, and training and tools for law enforcement, prosecution, and public defense.
The City of Omaha will use JAG funds to reduce violent crime and enhance public safety through enforcement and deterrence overtime operations; professional development for law enforcement, and staff; enhance citizen-police relationships; and diversion programming.
