Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $907,896)

Under the FY 2024 JAG, the City of Indianapolis (City) proposes to assist with salaries and overtime to offset the increased workload due to increase in crime; with file digital conversion and retention projects; with supplies to assist departments with the carrying out programs; with training to keep forensics personnel current in their field; with contracted and sub awarded services to assist with digitalization of departments.  These items, explained in detail below, will allow the City of Indianapolis/Marion County to address the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) areas of emphasis in reducing crime and violence, increasing community-based violence intervention strategies, and advancing justice system reform efforts.
