White Earth Healing to Wellness Project

The White Earth Band of Chippewa Indians’ project will increase direct services for participating juveniles. The focus will be to continue the tribe's efforts to prevent or divert involvement of Native American youth in the juvenile justice system and reduce juvenile recidivism rates with the three county's judicial systems. This will be achieved by hiring additional staff; providing culturally-appropriate, trauma informed, culturally adapted early and sustainable prevention, intervention and post-intervention services for youth; coordinating services to improve outcomes for justice system involved youth; and, providing monthly cultural events/activities to engage families.
