Prevention programming will focus on risk factors identified by the Tribal community with strategic planning to increase protective factors. Round Valley Indian Tribes will utilize the public health model for prevention, which includes identifying risk factors and increasing protective factors to prevent issues facing youth, specifically underage drinking, marijuana use/abuse, opioid use/misuse, risky behavior leading to unsafe environments and outcomes, Missing or Murdered Indigenous Persons, violence and violent behavior.
