2021 Children's Justice Act Partnerships for Indian Communities Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe requested funding to resume the operation of the CFS Department and the implementation of services to child victims of abuse, neglect and exploitation.  Funding will be used to: 1) support the position of an FTE Children and Family Services Manager/Casework and an FTE CFS Administrative Assistant; 2) support up to 20 child victims a year with counseling; 2) provide preventative services to parents identified as needing support; 3) provide emergency assistance to child victims and families; and, 4) provide caseworkers with training to improve the investigation and prosecution of cases.
