California Native Children Justice Partnership

Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians requested funding to provide child protection advocates for child abuse and neglect cases in a manner that minimizes trauma. With this funding, Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians will: hire and train 1 FTE Child Protection Advocate/Case Manager and 1 FTE Child Victim Resource/Data Assistant; implement an MDT and provide training on child forensic mandatory reporting, interviewing, and evidence-based services; implement a Wellness Model Service Instrument; and develop and implement a California Native Children Safe Center/Emergency Housing.
