Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community requested funding to hire a dedicated child abuse prosecutor. With this funding, Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community will recruit and hire the prosecutor, provide any necessary training and mentorship, and integrate the prosecutor into their multidisciplinary team (MDT). Funds will be used to pay for salary, benefits, and travel expenses for a dedicated, full-time 1.0 FTE child abuse prosecutor. Grant funding is focused on recruiting and hiring this position, to aid Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community in continuing high quality services to child abuse victims and their non-offending family members.
