Education to Less-Established Immigrant Groups and Service Providers in Two Colorado Metropolitan Areas, as Well as to Agricultural Workers in Communities not Previously Served in Previous Project

Colorado Legal Services will use this award to support and expand its Urban-Rural education project. Project activities include: strategizing with ESL (English-as-a-second-language) providers to integrate anti-discrimination into their curricula; working with Colorado Trust recipients to ensure that staff members and volunteers understand the issues and can make their communities more aware; exploring channels for reaching women in underserved immigrant groups; and, utilizing existing channels under the Archdiocese of Denver's Hispanic Ministries network to educate parishes. Grant funds will support costs associated with staff salaries and benefits, conference travel, and project supplies.
