Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $8,300,000)

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Electronic and Cyber Crime Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Program serves communities by providing training, technical assistance, and related support that leverages cooperative efforts between electronic and cyber crime training and technical assistance service providers. Funds can be used for expansion or enhancement of training and technical assistance programs that have national scope. This may include programs providing investigative support to local law enforcement agencies.

The National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) will provide comprehensive programs and services to improve local criminal justice systems and ensure national support for training, education, and technical assistance that strategically addresses electronic/digital evidence and cyber crime investigative needs. NW3C will improve the national cyber crime capacity of state, local, and tribal agencies by enhancing and providing training, education, and technical assistance.
