Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $100,000)
The National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP), National Drug Court Institute (NDCI) will continue delivering the Drug Court Planning Initiative (DCPI) for adult drug court teams. NDCI will train thirty adult drug court teams of up to eight members in three trainings of ten teams each. Each training will last five days and will include practitioner-facilitated exercises and expert consultant-delivered sessions.
Under this initiative, NDCI proposes to develop a process by which approved planning teams will be awarded funding to make it possible to attend and fully participate in the DCPI training. These funds will assist the jurisdictional teams in defraying the cost of airfare, ground transportation, parking, mileage, and per diem.
