Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $349,998)
The National Association of Drug Court Professionals, National Drug Court Institute (NDCI) will continue to serve as the central point of contact to assist an individual state agency in training its own personnel and in developing its own strategic plan for the institutionalization of drug courts in that state. NDCI proposes the continuation of a three-pronged drug court training initiative for state level agencies that will enhance the state's own drug court training capacity. The training initiative provides state agencies with a web-based menu of existing and proven NDCI drug court training programs and individual training component parts, allowing state agencies to receive training catered to their specific needs and delivered in a number of ways.
The goals to be accomplished with this project are: (1) continue and update the web-based menu of existing NDCI training programs to ensure all BJA-approved drug court curricula is included; (2) market state-wide training options to state agencies and state drug court associations; (3) respond and execute state-specific drug court training requests based on identified state-specific needs; (5) deliver training to specific state agency requests currently pending; and (6) evaluate all state specific training programs delivered.
