Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $479,365)

The National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP), National Drug Court Institute (NDCI) will provide training in the following three areas for operational drug courts: 'Rethinking Client Behaviors: Incentives and Sanctions Workshops;" 'Treating and Supervising Meth Addicts in Your Drug Court;' and 'Operational Tune-Up Trainings.' The 'Incentives and Sanctions Workshop' is a two-day team-oriented and comprehensive training that seeks to provide adult drug court and problem-solving court professionals with a sophisticated understanding of the science related to behavior management and change. NDCI will execute five one-day training programs on 'Treating and Supervising Meth Addicts in Your Drug Court.'

Additionally, NDCI will provide five advanced two-day Tune-up Trainings that will provide operational drug court teams the opportunity to 'tune up' their operations based upon the latest science and best practices related to the drug court field. NDCI will strengthen and enhance the court operations of drug and other problem-solving court programs.
