Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $150,000)
The American University will continue to operate the Drug Court Clearinghouse, addressing the following needs: (1) tracking and implementation status of drug court programs that have received planning, implementation or enhancement funding assistance; (2) collection and dissemination (nationally) of information on drug court programs, current activity, relevant research, legal developments, emerging issues, and promising practices for a broad range of users; and, (3) provision of readily accessible information resources for all drug court programs and BJA Drug Court technical assistance and training providers in order to support planning, operational, and program improvement needs. The multi-faceted design for the Clearinghouse enables continued responsiveness to program operational needs, field inquiries, and general information needs nationally.
