National Project on Law Enforcement Suicide Prevention Training and Support

The St. Petersburg College, Florida Regional Community Policing Institute (RCPI) will continue the development and implementation of their prevention and education efforts at the community level to improve the probability that law enforcement officers contemplating suicide will seek help from mental health professionals. The Florida RCPI will conduct regional training conferences on the use of the Law Enforcement Suicide Prevention Toolkits, conduct one-day train-the-trainer sessions, and provide speakers bureau services. They will provide downloadable Law Enforcement Suicide Prevention Toolkits, online suicide prevention resources, and technical assistance to law enforcement agencies. Florida RCPI will also update and enhance the 'Rolling Backup' video.
