The Greenville Technical College will teach a series of the Franklin Covey 7 Habits for Highly Effective Law Enforcement courses. The training is a unique professional and personal development program that builds leadership skills for officers. Participants learn strategies for integrating core values of community policing especially integrity, civility and respect, engaged listening, and proactive decision-making into both personal and professional life, as outlined in the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics. The Greenville Technical College will work in concert with six partner-regional community policing institutes (RCPIs) and the Carolinas Institute for Community Policing (CICP) to build human capital and leadership capacity in the nation's public safety community through coordination and delivery of Franklin-Covey's 7 Habits for Public Safety Professionals training.
