IADLEST National Decertification Index Program

The International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) will provide for the continuation and enhancement of as well as increased participation in the National Decertification Index (NDI). This will be accomplished through the establishment of a national Revocation Advisory Group; development, dissemination and review of a comprehensive survey to determine the obstacles facing the non-participating states; and the development of model law and policy. IADLEST will work closely with those states currently facing participation issues and marketing through the State's Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). Utilization of the NDI by state and local agencies provides a critical tool as a part of the background investigation procedures.
