ABA Criminal Law Assistance in Serbia

The American Bar Association (ABA) Fund for Justice and Education, Rule of Law Initiative will use the grant award to fund the Prosecutorial Reform Index (PRI) program in Serbia. The main goal of the PRI program is to assess the current state of prosecutorial services. The PRI is a tool that measures factors related to facilitating an accountable, ethical, and well-functioning prosecutorial system. The PRI will provide the ABA with valuable information about current prosecution service in Serbia and will also serve as a baseline for future assessments. The PRI will enable assistance providers to facilitate strategic planning, better understand important elements in the process of prosecutorial reform, and target comprehensive criminal justice programming in Serbia.

Grant funds will be used to pay ABA Washington-based staff personnel costs, domestic and international travel, and contract costs for services and goods in Serbia.
