Center for Holistic Defense Project

The Bronx Defenders in partnership with the Center for Court Innovation will respond to the nationwide call for training and technical assistance for public defenders in the area of Holistic Defense. They will clearly define holistic defense for public defenders so that they can plan in a more focused way the direction of their own strategic growth, build the evidence base to demonstrate its outcomes on clients¡¯ life and legal outcomes, and provide public defenders with relevant and practical technical assistance to support new strategies for addressing their clients¡¯ complex needs, beyond the immediate criminal matter ¨C through holistic defense. They are using live technical support and web-based learning resources to promote the development of Holistic Defense in systems throughout the country.

NCA/NCF
