Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $250,000)
The National Attorneys General Training and Research Institute (NAGTRI) is the training and research arm of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG). The NAGTRI will utilize grant funds to continue enhancing its current Intellectual Property Enforcement Project. Working with its partner, the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) to implement this continued project, the NAGTRI will provide additional one-day trainings for state and local law enforcement and legal staff; a web-based system, which will allow state and local law enforcement staff from various parts of the country to identify counterparts in other areas; enhance the current on-going Intellectual Property Enforcers manual; continue to expand and update the current directory of state enforcers and integrate said directory with the web-based contact and referral system; and further develop a website dedicated to intellectual property materials.
