Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $600,000)
The Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR) will maintain and support the online CTFLI; deliver regional training sessions on task force and methamphetamine investigative management; coordinate peer-to-peer technical assistance; and maintain a cadre of subject-matter experts. They will manage corresponding activities, communication with training recipients and subject-matter experts, ongoing review of curricula, and assessment of technical assistance needs. IIR will utilize its existing infrastructure dedicated to various training and technical assistance efforts to implement the proposed activities. The purpose of the Center for Task Force Training (CenTF) and Center for Task Force Leadership and Integrity (CTFLI) project is to provide specialized task force leadership training and technical assistance services to local, state, and tribal law enforcement throughout the United States. The goal is to increase the effectiveness of local, state, and tribal law enforcement task force operations.
