The National Association of Drug Court Professional (NADCP), through the National Drug Court Institute (NDCI), will use the grant funds to implement and manage the Adult Drug Court Planning Initiative (DCPI) Training Program for the eleventh consecutive year. The training program consists of a standardized and proven core curriculum based on innovative adult learning theory and the NDCI Adult Drug Court Planning Process which is grounded in the OJP/NADCP Ten Key Components of a Drug Court.

Under this initiative, NDCI will identify several training locations for the Adult DCPI Training Programs to include adult, veteran, and tribal programs; manage the online application process to identify and recommend planning teams to BJA; lead each team through the NDCI developed and BJA approved five-day adult, veteran, and tribal DCPI training curriculums; provide travel related scholarships and prepare each planning team prior to the training program; provide post-training assistance to the planning teams to finalize an adult, veteran, and tribal drug court implementation plan; evaluate each training and modify the curriculum as needed; host the online Adult DCPI WebCT course; and host an annual meeting for the adult mentor courts.
