Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $500,000)

The Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification (SAVIN) program ensures victims of crime receive accurate and timely information regarding the status of offenders and events related to their cases. Through SAVIN, victims are able to participate in the judicial process and make sound decisions to protect themselves from further victimization while maintaining total anonymity. This information-sharing capability is also available to courts, corrections, and law enforcement officials.
The Arkansas Crime Information Center will use their 2010 SAVIN funds to upgrade and re-design the VINE Court system from workstation based at the prosecuting attorney office to a single interface into the Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts case management system. This will allow for more accurate and timely information. CA/NCF
