The Upper Midwest Community Policing Institute (UMCPI) will continue to develop and deliver human trafficking awareness courses for state prosecutors and judges. The training prepares state and local prosecutors for to building their capacity to try the crime of human trafficking under state law. UMCPI will continue delivering the three training curricula: "Advanced Human Trafficking Investigation Training"; "Human Trafficking Training for State Judges"; and, "Human Trafficking Training for State Prosecutors". They will enhance the effectiveness of human trafficking Investigators and State Judicial Systems to investigate, prosecute and try human trafficking cases through the delivery of existing comprehensive training curriculums.

This award will fund the Advanced Anti-Human Trafficking Investigations Training Program and the State Prosecutors Training Program to continue enhancing the effectiveness of human trafficking investigators and state judicial systems to investigate, prosecute, and try human trafficking cases through the delivery of existing comprehensive training curriculums. The Upper Midwest Community Policing Institute (UMCPI) will utilize the supplemental funding to deliver up to six human trafficking awareness courses for investigators and state prosecutors. UMCPI will deliver the following training curricula: "Advanced Human Trafficking Investigation Training" and "Human Trafficking Training for State Prosecutors".
