Law Enforcement Suicide Prevention Project

Saint Petersburg College will to develop and implement prevention and education efforts at the community level to improve the probability that law enforcement officers contemplating suicide will seek help from mental health professionals. They will implement a regional training conference that focuses on the use of the In Harm's Way Law Enforcement Suicide Prevention Toolkits. Saint Petersburg College will conduct train the trainer sessions; provide speakers bureau services; offer downloadable In Harm's Way Law Enforcement Suicide Prevention Toolkits; create online suicide prevention resources; and develop a component focusing on the importance of developing or improving occupational health and safety programs for law enforcement agencies.
