National Fusion Center Training and Technical Assistance

The Institute for Intergovernmental Research in collaboration with the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Office of the Program Manager, Information Sharing Environment (PM-ISE); the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and other federal partners will provide continued support to further integrate and institutionalize the National Network of Fusion Centers, such as specialized trainings and peer-to-peer technical assistance exchanges. This effort also seeks to improve and enhance information sharing among state, local, and tribal law enforcement and homeland security agencies, including fusion centers. NCA/NCF
Efficient and effective sharing of information between and among justice agencies and their partner organizations is at the heart of today's efforts across the nation to protect public safety. The Institute for Intergovernmental Research in collaboration with the Bureau of Justice Assistance and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and other federal partners will provide support for the continued implementation of the Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) Initiative (NSI) and the National Network of Fusion Centers through the delivery of training and technical assistance, conducting communication activities and outreach briefings to critical stakeholders, continuing maintenance and enhancement of the NSI Web Site, and responding to field-initiated requests.
