Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2012, $600,000)
The Georgia Tech Applied Research Corporation will implement the "Federated Identity, Privilege Management, and Technical Privacy Implementation" project to support the Global Federated Identity and Privilege Management (GFIPM) program. They will continue to provide technical engineering and development support to DOJ's Global Standards Council, the Global Federated Identity and Technical Privacy Task Team, provide operational support to BJA and the National Information Exchange Federation in further developing the GFIPM program, and supporting implementation of GFIPM-standards based federation partnerships across the country. The goals and objectives include work to develop the necessary standards, tools, partnerships, and documentation that will advance BJA's goals for the GFIPM program and related Global work in the area of electronic privacy policy management, and move those efforts toward broader and more efficient adoption by federal, state, local, and tribal agencies as well as industry partners.
