The John Jay College will support the National Network for Safe Communities: Ceasefire University and Violence Reduction Strategy Initiative. The National Network for Safe Communities (National Network), launched by the Center for Crime Prevention and Control (Center) at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, will supports jurisdictions around the country that are currently implementing either group violence reduction strategy (GVRS), first developed in Boston, MA, as "Operation Ceasefire," or the drug market intervention (DMI) strategy, first developed in High Point, NC. The National Network will enhance its capacity to work simultaneously with existing and new sites through collective and
