FY 13 BJA Visiting Fellows Program

The Bureau of Justice Assistance, is continuing the fellowship of Tara Kunkel employee of the National Center for State Courts. Ms Kunkel is assisting with the prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) so that the original goals of the fellowship as well as additional priority objectives can be completed. Her fellowship has two goals: (1) to support local and state collaborative efforts between public health and criminal justice professionals to use PDMP and other data to inform prevention, treatment, and enforcement efforts, and (2) to provide outreach, training and technical assistance to local and state agencies to promote the expansion of the use of state prescription drug monitoring programs and other data to inform prescription drug abuse prevention and treatment efforts.
