Kentucky State Police Information Sharing Initiative 2013

Efficient and effective sharing of information between and among justice agencies and their partner organizations is at the heart of today's efforts across the nation to protect public safety and reduce offender recidivism. The project seeks to improve law enforcement information sharing on a statewide basis, and partner with non-law enforcement agencies to create a comprehensive view of individuals, cases, and events. Implementation will connect the State Police, Department of Corrections, and the courts to create a single platform that will provide access to warrants, field reporting systems, and offender case management data. The technology solution will fully leverage DOJ's Global standards and guidelines, and the end result is likely to provide a unique case study on statewide implementation capable of replication.
