Conduct two trainings and four webinars for Capital Defense Team members using a network of trainers and capital defense litigators who have been doing these trainings for BJA over last 5 years.

The purpose of the National Training and Technical Assistance of legal representation provided to indigent defendants in state capital cases and enhancing the ability of prosecutors to effectively represent the public in state cases. Because capital case litigation is governed by unique evidentiary rules and processes, this training and technical assistance is essential to improving the quality of legal representation provided to indigent defendants. The grantee will use funds to achieve the goals of the CCLI Program.
