The recipient will use the grant to address education and training in order to promote prevention of sexual abuse. The strategies will include educating inmates and offenders about PREA, offender sexual abuse prevention strategies, the rights to be free from sexual abuse and harassment, retaliation, ways to report, and the agency's response to incidents. In addition, grant funds will support policy review and revision to further meet standard requirements and to enhance data collection efforts. A portion of funds will be used to contract with an auditor to meet audit requirements under the PREA standards.
