Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2016, $550,000)
The purpose of the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program (42 U.S.C. 3797u et seq.) is to provide financial and technical assistance to states, state courts, local courts, units of local government, and Indian tribal governments to develop and implement drug courts that effectively integrate evidence-based substance abuse treatment, mandatory drug testing, sanctions and incentives, and transitional services in a judicially supervised court setting with jurisdiction over substance-abusing drug court participants. Providers under this solicitation will support the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program (42 U.S.C. 3797u et seq.) grantees as well as the adult drug court field-at-large.
Category 4 Tribal Healing to Wellness Drug Court Site-Specific Technical Assistance Program- The grantee, serving as a technical assistance provider, will use grant funds to deliver intensive Tribal Healing to Wellness Court technical assistance to a pool of approximately 40 Tribal Healing to Wellness Courts, while also identifying and delivering support services in collaboration with the state drug court administrators.
