Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2016, $2,999,951)

The FY16 Violence Reduction Network (VRN) is a comprehensive initiative to leverage existing DOJ resources to deliver strategic, intensive training and technical assistance (TTA) to local jurisdictions experiencing a precipitous increase in violent crime. Through the FY16 VRN TTA program, BJA will deliver TTA to state and local law enforcement agencies, and other justice system agencies in select jurisdictions, to assist them in addressing violent crime.

Under Category 1 of the FY16 VRN TTA initiative, the CNA Corporation will provide customized TTA to VRN sites to help local jurisdictions enhance and/or develop and implement violent crime reduction strategies as well as consulting services, technical assistance, and training to law enforcement and criminal justice professionals.
