Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2016, $2,286,055)

The purpose of the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program (42 U.S.C. 3797u et seq.) is to provide financial and technical assistance to states, state courts, local courts, units of local government, and Indian tribal governments to develop and implement drug courts that effectively integrate evidence-based substance abuse treatment, mandatory drug testing, sanctions and incentives, and transitional services in a judicially supervised court setting with jurisdiction over substance-abusing drug court participants. Providers under this solicitation will support the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program (42 U.S.C. 3797u et seq.) grantees as well as the adult drug court field-at-large.

The grantee, serving as a technical assistance provider under category 3a) of the FY16 DC TTA program will provide TTA to BJA’s Adult Drug Court Program Implementation and Enhancement grantees and Joint BJA/Center for Substance Abuse Treatment Adult Drug Court Enhancement Program grantees and the field-at-large. The technical assistance provider will use grant funds to deliver intensive assistance to a pool of approximately 230 adult, tribal, DUI/DWI, veterans, and co-occurring implementation and enhancement grantees, while also identifying and delivering supportive services to the adult drug court field-at-large.
