The Maine State Police (MSP) will use funds to purchase two robotic DNA extraction instruments and a Real-Time PCR DNA Quantification Instrument and use forensic chemists to conduct extractions and quantifications to increase casework capacity. MSP will conduct training in-house for scientists to aid DNA examiners.
