Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2017, $3,849,826)

As part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, Public Law 115-31, Congress set aside a total of $15,000,000 for ‘‘for emergency law enforcement assistance for events occurring during fiscal years 2016 and 2017, as authorized by section 609M of the Justice Assistance Act of 1984 (42 U.S.C. 10501; Public Law 98–473).” As part the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, Public Law 115-31, Congress set aside a total of $15,000,000 for ‘‘for emergency law enforcement assistance for events occurring during fiscal years 2016 and 2017, as authorized by section 609M of the Justice Assistance Act of 1984 (42 U.S.C. 10501; Public Law 98–473).” The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement award in the amount of $3,849,826.00 will be used to reimburse law enforcement agencies that responded to precipitous flooding in southwest and south central Louisiana in 2016. This is one-time funding appropriated specifically for this applicant. NCA/NCF
