Swift, Certain, and Fair: Reducing Recidivism and Improving Outcomes for Alcohol and Drug Users on State Parole

Parole and its research partner, BOTEC, propose to review what data was collected from the initial SCF grant-funded RCT; to compare the Pennsylvania approach both for “parole as usual” and for this SCF grant to traditional SCF models in other states and localities; to identify the obstacles to implementing SCF protocols both based on initial experience during the SCF grant and also new issues in the present COVID reality; and develop an implementation plan of SCF principles into Parole standard operating procedures.
