Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2018, $531,241)
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Crime laboratory is a unit of State government that provides PCR-STR DNA analysis on samples from crime scene evidence at no cost to all law enforcement agencies within the State of Missouri.
The goals for this grant are to reduce our backlog and reduce the overall turnaround time for handling, screening, analyzing and reviewing forensic biology/DNA samples. Increasing the capacity and efficiency of the DNA programs will be the key elements to achieving these goals.
- The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is submitting data for the FY2023 SCAAP Funds for OJP reviewto determine if the Adult Detention Center is eligible for and what amount of SCAAP funding.

- The Webster Police Department will utilize BJA funds to fund Cloud based storage to assist in starting a Body Worn Camera Program.
