The Indiana state plan for the Coverdell program is to attain a turnaround time of less than 45 days for 90% of submissions, reduce backlogs, and improve the quality of forensic services. The funding will be used to support overtime to reduce the backlog, to purchase and upgrade of equipment so that each drug analyst will have their own microscope and balance, and to purchase of a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer.
