Houston Police Department Gulf States Technology Initiative

The BJA Gulf States Law Enforcement Technology Initiate provides resources and law enforcement technology to law enforcement jurisdictions within the five Gulf States (Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas) to enhance information and intelligence sharing among them in order to reduce crime and drug trafficking. The grant is to a single local government agency to develop local law enforcement projects designed to gather, analyze, and disseminate information critical to investigating, reporting, and responding to crimes and suspicious activity within its jurisdiction. The funding will enhance information and intelligence sharing between local law enforcement agencies, fusion centers, and federal and state agencies.
